On Tuesday Mom, Dad, and I left home and hit the road for Saugatuck, Michigan. I know that not a lot of people know where that is or why Mom and Dad like it so much, so here's a quick primer. Saugatuck is in Alegon County at the bottom left of Michigan. Here's a map.
Saugatuck is so neat because it is on Lake Michigan but also because there is a little river that runs off the lake and opens into a harbor. We stay on the lake side of the river so sometimes we drive over to the little town or take a little ferry that is attached to a chain across. Here's a picture and map to give you a reference.
Anyway, on to more fun things. We had the best time, we really did. We spent some time out on the beach. For a while I just hung out in my new beach shade.

After a while though I got out and hung out with Mom:
and Dad:
The sunset was really great and we went to the beach to see it every night:
Sometimes we just hung out in the room. In this picture, as my father's son, I noticed Dad's blackberry across the bed and crawled (a legit crawl, for really the first time) across the bed to grab it.
When I got there I called Grandma to tell her the story. Dad grabbed the phone to explain to Grandma why I had called.
There were lots of other fun times in the room just playing around:

In the middle of Saugatuck is a little park just for kids. They had some swings there and we went there every day. I loved it and was always full of smiles. Here are just a few examples.

We also spent a lot of time walking around the town doing some shopping and generally hanging out:
And every afternoon we took a dip in the pool, which was always fun:
Oh, and I should note, Mom and Dad want everyone to know that they got engaged on this trip. It was on the beach at sunset, but I was asleep so beyond that I don't know all the details. I am sure they could fill you in. But I do know the below picture was taken shortly after.
Finally, in non-vacation news, my friend Michael Cioffi Jr. was born on July 6th, I can't wait to play with him.Talk to everyone soon.
Love,
Jack
