People I saw over Christmas
Christmas Day
So I know it's a little - ok, a lot - overdue to be posting about Christmas. But I had a few minutes and wanted to get something up on my blog.
So, we woke up on Christmas Day, me and Luke spent some time in my crib, just hanging out.

Luke went out first to find that Santa had come and had brought new toys.

He shouted the good news, so I came bounding out...

...inspected the new toys...

...and was off to play.

Here's Luke hanging out.

Soon we went over to Grandma's house where Luke - the best gift of 2009 - spent some time with Pupu...

...and Grandma.

We were going to the big Muething family Christmas party, but I fell asleep in the car on the 1 mile trip.

I rebounded to have a fun time at the party, evidenced by the mischievous look on my face.

So, it's almost Valentine's Day, but Merry Christmas!
Love,
Jack

A Story...by Aunt Lisa
Aunt Lisa wrote this story for one of her classes. It's about a day I went walking downtown with her and Luke. Enjoy! Mommy and Daddy sure do.
“Christmas tree,” Jack said as we walked by. My nephew Jack was now three, old enough not to have to ride in the stroller as we walked downtown. He and I held hands but I could barely feel his little fingers through my thick gloves. Each of our other hands sat on the stroller handle bar as we pushed baby Luke along down the street. “Big Christmas tree,” He said as the cars on Fourth Street zoomed past us with salt leftover from the most recent snowstorm blowing up onto the sidewalk. I pulled him further away from the street. “Big Green Christmas tree,” he continued. His love of telling his audience all of the adjectives that go along with an object is one of his most endearing qualities. We reached Koch’s sporting goods store where a mannequin of a football player had been dressed in Chad OchoCinco’s jersey and helmet with a Santa beard and stocking . “Zoey?” Jack said inquisitively, speaking of the character from the Muppet Babies. He knew it was not, but was not sure what to make of the statue. His puzzled eyes looked up at me begging for answers. “Santa?” He wondered aloud. “8-5 Santa?” “Football, 8-5 Santa?” His ideas were coming quicker and I didn’t know what to tell him. “I’m not sure, honey” and we continued on our walk.
Love,
Jack
PS - Here's a picture of Aunt Lisa with Luke that was laying around.
