One of the first things we did - and then did often later - was to return to the kids park in the center of town.
Later it was on to the beach. So fun.
Here's Mommy and Luke having some fun back at the house.
And then Daddy and Luke:
Here's Luke on the swings in the park.
Look familiar at all (below picture is me two years ago)?

Sorry for the trip down memory lane. Back to vacation and both of us on the swings.
Here's Luke resting on the porch of the condo.
This porch got a lot of use by everybody; here I am blowing bubbles and you can see my trains/trucks in position behind me.
Kyoko and Ed arrived the day after we got there. Here's Ed and Luke hanging out, which they did a lot, with matching expressions (or lack thereof).
Maybe they were tired. Yep, looks like it.
More from the beach:
At sunset Daddy tried to talk me into watching the sun go night-night. Given the volume of sand that needed to be shoveled into a pail and then dumped out, I was busy.
I humored him for a minute.
And then Mommy joined us as the sunset got closer.
And when the sun was almost gone, I popped up; where is it going, what's going on here?
The next day it was back around town and in the park.
Here is a really fun game I made up with a few new friends, called Throw Woodchips on the Slide and then Someone Slide Through Them. Summer Olympics 2012.
The day after Labor Day a bunch of diggers [bulldozers] came in and started to tear up a few streets. Some might think this was an imposition. Not me. I was thrilled. So much so actually that Daddy and I sat on the corner and watched them work for quite some time. Here, Kyoko joins.
Holding Luke Boy's hand.
That seat is getting a little tight, buddy.
And at the end of an exciting and busy vaction, we rested (in our matching pajamas).
Love,
Jack
