Being an advanced, educated boy I thought about finding a quote that fit the moment. I found one that made me laugh, though it doesn't really apply:
"It snowed last year too: I made a snowman and my brother knocked it down and I knocked my brother down and then we had tea." ~Dylan Thomas
I saw this one, I like this spirit:
"The younger brother must help to pay for the pleasures of the elder." ~Jane Austen, Mansfield Park
But, I'm not really the type of boy to want pleasure at Luke's expense, so that doesn't really work either.
I guess a picture is really worth a thousand words:
Despite Mommy and Daddy really trying, this is the only picture that exists of me and Luke. And I think my face really says it all. It's not that I don't like Luke. In fact, quite the opposite, whenever I see him I am more than happy to say "baby" and sometimes "night night." It's just that...and how do I say this delicately...he's pretty boring. I mean, he doesn't want to play with trains or run to the end of the condo and back. When we went to the park today, he just sat there. So, he seems pretty great, but I've got a lot of things going on these days and I'm just not going to spend a lot of time focusing on him.
PS, From Mommy and Daddy:
Jack accurately describes his interest in Luke. He's interested in passing, but he's so busy and doesn't stop to pay much attention. But, it's also worth mentioning that Jack has been fantastic over this past week. He was great for those that watched him (thanks to Papaw, Mimi, Grandma and his aunts), he has been wonderful while we've been home. Maybe he knows that we need him to be on extra good behavior because he has certainly done that. And maybe doing exactly what your family needs is the ultimate way of being a good brother.
