Happy St. Patrick's Day

There once was a boy named Jack.
Good spirits, he did not lack.
He loved to have fun,
until the day was done.
He was never a sad-sack.

Everyone loved this boy,
he brought his family and friends so much joy.
When Jack is around,
good times will abound,
particularly if you have a toy.

At the end of the day,
"Good night, Jack," we say.
Jack goes to sleep
and makes not a peep
when the sun gently fades away.

Mommy and Daddy continue to think that I am better than a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Here I am, a little leprechaun before bed with Mommy.

I'm a big growing boy. Here I am a year ago on St. Patrick's Day.

This year I almost fill the entire chair.

Love,
Jack

Welcome Cousin Callie!

I have been very remiss about telling everyone about some very good news. On February 20, my cousin, Callie Yasuyo (like Mommy) Harrett, was born. Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Told are really happy and proud. I have seen Callie twice now, the first time was when I visited her in the hospital soon after she was born. Mommy and Daddy were out of town so I represented our family. The second time was when we went to Louisville a few weeks ago to see her. She's very cute and fun (though she sleeps more than me), I can't wait to play with her for many years to come.

Anyway, here are a few fun pictures.

Snowed in.

Hey everyone. We're snowed in, so I thought, "What better time to work on my blog?" So, what have I been up to?

You wouldn't believe it but at the beginning of the week, the weather was really, really nice. So nice, in fact, that I went to the park two days in a row. Here are pictures of the first day, when Mommy and Daddy took me down to Sawyer Point.

Here I am giving Daddy "five," one of my favorite new tricks.

What else have I been doing? Well, like always, I have been spending some fun times with Mommy around the house. Here we are relaxing.

Here we are posing.

And here we are playing one of my favorite new games called, "Squeal to be picked up so that I can push the strollers around." You all should look into playing yourself (being picked up is optional).

Speaking of playing around the house, I am incredibly active...

...always full of good cheer...

...and always getting into something. Here I am "helping" Mommy and Daddy by rearranging in the cabinets.

One of my favorite things to do is play with anything with wheels. I have cars and trains that stay at Grandma's, and I also have some different trains at home. Here I am playing with those:

Earlier today Daddy made me a fort to play in; I decided, of course, that it would be fun to run my trains through it.

I was having lots of fun.

The only drawback was the static electricity made my hair stand on end.

Whew. I was tired. I needed to rest.

Talk to you soon.

Love,
Jack

What I've been doing...

My second post of the day; hopefully this shows that I am recommitted to my blog.

Anyway, my last post took you through Christmas. There were lots of things that happened soon after.

For example, right after Christmas Mom and Dad's friends Dave and Karen Fardo came up to see me (and Mommy and Daddy too, they may claim). I had lots of fun playing with them. Here are a couple pictures of Dave and me clowning around.

On New Years Day, I hung out at home all day with Mommy, Daddy, and Greg. I don't know why everyone wasn't as energetic as I was. They just wanted to sit around all day, I was having none of it. In this picture, though, I did slow down for a moment to sit with Greg.

What else? I have been running around everywhere, I have continued to be a very playful boy. Here are just a few pictures of me around the house, having fun.

One night Mommy was doing yoga at home. I had no idea what to make of the whole situation. I was looking at the TV...

...and then at Mommy, trying to understand what was going on. I never did quite put it all together. :)
Anyway, again, I promise to keep posting.

Love,
Jack

I'm Back - with Christmas photos (yes, it's been that long)

Wow. 2 months absent. Please don't worry about me, I am fine. I am really sorry for being gone so long. It was a combination of many factors that I won't bore you with; the short version is that Mommy, Daddy, and I have been very busy and we just haven't been able to blog. I hope I haven't lost my readership forever.

A lesser blogger might issue a few apologies, give a quick update, and try to do better from now on. I, as you all know, am not a "lesser blogger." So I am going to do my best to take you back over the last few months. Let's see, the last post was Santa borrowing my blog when he came to see me very early Christmas morning. So, let me take it from there...

I woke up on Christmas day and right away I knew it was a special day. Even special days, however, start with a bottle. That morning Daddy sat with me while I had my bottle.

After my bottle, I rushed right out to see what was going on.

There were lots of fun presents, it was so great!

Of most note and interest to me (no surprise to those that know me best), it was the balls that Santa left that I thought were the absolute best.

I also loved the fun bear chair that was left as well.

After a while playing at home with my new toys, we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for more fun, as Santa had come there too. My favorite thing that I got there was my new friend Elmo. Elmo is the best and we had lots of fun playing together too.

I had a snack and, like always, I shared some with Bailey.

Christmas is so great because of lots of reasons, but seeing all of my family was the best part.

Christmas continued on to Great-Grandpa's house. One of the things that I enjoyed doing was playing with the gate. Nevermind that it's right in the middle of the house and the only way to the basement; everyone else was just going to have to walk around. :) Here Aunt Meg helped me out.

Aunt Meg also watched as I played in the living room too.

Christmas was also pretty great because I got a big cookie at the end of the day.

Although the best part was when I had both a cookie and Aunt Maggie playing with me.

If you can believe it, Santa also came to see me down at Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Todd's house. Here I am sitting with Papaw. Note how crazy everyone is acting in the mirror behind me.

Christmas was really wonderful, I loved it.

More soon, I promise.
