Merry Christmas to all...and to all a good night.

I came to see Jack tonight. Really, has there been any doubt that he's been nice this year. In fact, it's been a while since I've seen a better baby. I think I have treated him well accordingly.

I will leave the cats in charge to watch the loot, as you will see Biscuit is already in position.

Now I must hurry away, but be careful not to wake Mommy and Baby who sleep this Christmas.

Well, maybe just one more cookie...

Merry Christmas everyone.

Love,
Santa

Here I am...

Where's Jack?!

Here I am!

Wow, do I have a lot to tell you. Many things have happened over these past few weeks. First and foremost, you can probably see in the picture above that I am a walking baby. Yeah, I pretty much figured it out three weeks ago. I had been secretly learning how to walk and then when I had figured it out, I sprung it on Mom and Dad. And I'm pretty much an expert now. My favorite thing to do is to walk outside, I am very proud to show off my walking ability.

Here's a slideshow (a new feature on my page, by the way) of me walking around:

So, what else? I am loving the Christmas season. We have a beautiful tree up in our house and Grandma does too. I go down to see the train display all the time and I am fascinated by them. And it's been so fun to see lots of my family already. I am looking forward to the next few days, so be sure to check back soon. I hope to see everyone.

Thanksgiving Part 4

All of this talk about Thanksgiving reminds me that I wanted to post a list of things that I am thankful for that I wrote over that weekend. I am thankful for:

All of my friends and family;

A clean diaper;

A ball, any size, any type;

Daddy's television remotes - I find them irresistible;

Puffs, Cheerios, and cheese crackers;

My bottle, preferably from Mommy in our rocker in my nursery;

Swings;

Fun, long walks;

The music I fall asleep to;

My bunny that I sleep with;

My bulldozer and all my fun birthday presents;

My five wonderful aunts (and some more that I am not actually related to);

That I get to see Mom and Dad during the week during the work day;

That there are cabinets I am allowed to open at home;

For Grandma, who takes care of me two days a week and a lot of other times too;

My pianos, toy and otherwise;

For Mommy - she takes care of my brain, my heart, my belly, my bottom, and every other part of me, she does all of the little things that me and Dad never notice, she runs to me whenever I am sad or scared, and we always have fun together;

For Daddy - he's okay too and he helps me with my blog;

For baths;

For my car seat, which I actually really love;

For my new young friends, Bella, Max, Merrie, Jimmy, Emmett, Gabby and many others;

For Sally and Biscuit, particularly Sally for her patience with me pulling her tail;

For my friends and family - I know I said it once, but it deserves to be repeated at the end too. I am such a lucky boy to have so many people that love me so much;

and for all the things I didn't mention - cut me a break, I'm just a baby. :)

Love,
Jack

Thanksgiving Part 3

As I said in my previous post, we left from Cincinnati on Thanksgiving night and went to Chicago. It was so much fun. I loved playing around with Ed and Kyoko:

Kyoko and I enjoyed watching Elmo on DVD, he's my favorite.

Chicago was very, very cold. When we went out on Michigan Avenue, I needed to be bundled up. It was fun to be out in the middle of things on such a big shopping holiday weekend, but I could have done without layers 4-10.

Chicago - look at this town - what's not to love?

Thanksgiving Part 2

My second Thanksgiving was actually on Thanksgiving Day. We went over to Uncle Mark and Aunt Meg's house with the Muething clan. It was a fun, boisterous time, as always (at least that's how it's been the two times I was there).

For example, here's a picture of me with my pacifier and Grandpa...well...it's a little unclear...he's eating a green ball of mine, I think.

Grandpa's brother Tom knows how to hold me without eating my toys.

At one point I got a little overwhelmed by the action and needed Grandma to settle me down a little bit.

Here I am earlier in the night playing with a toy I brought down from Grandma's.

One of my favorite parts of the night was hanging out with Great-Grandpa. Here we are chatting up a storm.

And here's our annual 4 generation picture.

Can you believe how much bigger I am than:

I can't wait for our third Thanksgiving picture next year.

At the end of the night we piled in the car and drove to Chicago (I was awake for...maybe 3 minutes of the trip. If Mom and Dad's plan was to tire me out for the drive (and I think it was), it worked pretty well). Chicago pictures to come.

Thanksgiving Part 1

Hi everyone. I am so sorry for how I have gotten behind on my blogging. Frankly, I am so far behind that catching up is a little bit daunting. But hang with me, I promise to get to all the good stuff over the next few days. Trust me, I have lots to say.

So, anyway, when last I blogged it was my birthday about a month ago. Thanksgiving came up pretty quick after that. I actually had three Thanksgivings, the first of which was at Papaw and Mimi's in Bardstown. Here are some fun pictures.

Me playing with Papaw:

Me playing all by lonesome:

Hanging out with the family:

Aunt Muriel took care of me when I needed to rest:

Then Allison took over:

I think she needed a nap too:

We had a great time as you can see in this picture (Mommy was the camerawoman here, nice work Mommy!).

My weekend at Papaw's was so fun. I can't wait to tell you all about the rest of my adventures.
