Happy Halloween

Watch out! This blog is written by a scary lion!

No, wait! Don't go away! That's not actually a scary lion, it's just me, Jack. Tonight is Halloween and I got dressed up as a lion. While I might have acted scary in this picture, I was a sweet and fun loving boy.

I went over to Grandma and Grandma's house. Mommy got me dressed up:

And I opened up the door for trick-or-treaters with Aunt Lisa.

Soon after it was time for me to go out and do some trick-or-treating of my own.

We stopped by and saw Uncles (I won't call them Great-uncles) Mark and Jim and also cousin Kelly. We also saw Uncle Jerry and cousins Eric and David.

The big news from tonight is that I had my first cookie. And, wow, did I love it. You can see here that I began eating it. I wasn't totally sure about it at the beginning.

But as I got into it, I realized it was pretty great. Problem was, the icing was going all over my face.

I was very impressed with myself when I was done. And the icing on my face made it look like I had some little lion whiskers.

We had lots of fun after I got done trick-or-treating too. I played with my little walker and was really doing well pushing it on my own. I even took a few little steps without the walker. It won't be long now before I am a walking boy.

I got up on Grandpa's shoulders.

And I had fun with Aunt Julie too.

I asked Dad to put the finishing touches on my post, so that I could go to sleep. I am exhausted. I had such a big day on Halloween.

I hope to see everyone soon.

Love,
Jack

To Chicago

Last weekend we went to Chicago as Mommy had bought Daddy tickets to a concert for his birthday. It was so much fun to be there and see Kyoko Obachan and Ed.

Daddy took me for a walk on the beach at dawn.

The next day Mommy came with us.

Most of the time, though, we spent hanging out in the condo. We had lots of fun playing together.

My New Toys

As I've gotten older, I am able to get into new and different places. I am able to play with lots of new toys, only some of which are authorized by Mom and Dad.

For example, I now hop up and play the piano (and at Grandma's house too):

I'm in and out of cabinets, only one of which am I actually supposed to be in:

I found a balloon that I really liked:

A straw from Starbucks:

Daddy blows me bubbles which I love:

And I love to play with Sally, she's very patient while I figure out playing nicely with a cat:

All of these fun new toys makes me very happy:

Love,
Jack
