Today I Lost A Friend

Today is a sad day. My cat Piglet hasn't been feeling well and today he went up to heaven. He was a good friend to me, Dad, Biscuit and especially Mom. We already miss him quite a bit around here, home seems just a little more empty. But we have lots of good times to remember and here are just a few pictures to help remember.

What's been going on with me

Hey everyone, sorry it's been so long since I posted. Dad was having trouble with the computer, which pretty much meant I was having trouble with the computer too. But the computer is back in action, so I will be too.

I have continued to stay very active. Last time I updated you, I was in the pool on vacation. Vacation sure turned out to be lots of fun. On Sunday of vacation we got a cabana on the beach and Mom, Dad, and me hung out all day. It was so much fun and very relaxing.

After the beach, I got to spend a lot of time with Mom's friends Kelli and Matt. They were so nice and brought me some really nice gifts (too bad I fussed a lot at dinner - what can I say, I was rooting for the Saints and the game put me in a bad mood).

I was really good on the flight home from vacation too. All in all, I thought our trip was great and I know Mom and Dad did too.

After we got home from vacation, we had a few quiet days and then Kyoko Obachan came in to see me, along with Uncle Todd and Aunt Rebecca. This was fun too as I hadn't see Obachan since before Christmas.

The next day was pretty crazy. In the afternoon I got in the car, not with Mom and Dad, but with Todd and Rebecca and I went to Louisville and stayed there at night with them. Mom and Dad were really sad to see me go and I heard through the grapevine that they watched home movies of me because they missed me so much. The next day I went down to Bardstown with Todd and Rebecca and stayed the night at Papaw's. That was so much fun, but I was happy to come home when Mom and Dad got me the next day.

Anyway, things are going really well. Here are just a couple other pictures I had sitting around I thought you might enjoy.

On Vacation...

Life is good.

So Much to Say

Wow, I have had a busy few days. Dad has to work in Tampa on Monday, so Mom and I decided to tag along. We left for Tampa on Thursday night requiring me to take my first plane trip. While no pictures are available, I was a total angel the whole trip. The flying didn't bother my ears at all, I just slept the whole time. And even when it took a while to get our car and to get to the hotel, and I was desperately hungry, I didn't cry at all. Mom and Dad really appreciated it.

Our first day in Tampa was pretty eventful. After a while of hanging out, we went in the pool. I was a little confused at the beginning and a bit suspicious.

But soon I realized that being in the pool was pretty fun. I hung out with Mom for a while...

And then Dad took me and played around with me.

Then I got dressed in my new vacation wear...

And we went for a walk on the beach.

Great times.

Great News!

Great news to report, my friend Meredith ("Merrie") Ruth Leder was born this morning. At 8 pounds, 6 ounces she narrowly nosed me out in terms of birth weight. However, as anyone who has seen me recently knows, she's going to have a hard time catching up to me in weight since I have a headstart and, like my Dad, I love to eat.

Anyway, here's a picture of my friend Merrie who I can't wait to hang with.

Things to Do, People to See

Recently I have had occasion to see lots of fun new people and to do lots of fun things. Some pictures.

My Baptism

This past Saturday I was baptized. It was a really great day. I wore the baptismal garment that Dad and Aunts Julie, Lisa, and Maggie wore. I have a feeling it looked better on the girls.

The service was at Holy Trinity Church in Norwood and lots of my family and friends were able to be there. I didn't cause any disruptions during mass, except when it was actually my time to be front and center. Then I got a little bit fussy, but it was all ok. And when Fr. Ray showed me to everyone when it was over and everyone clapped for me, I was more than happy to put a big smile on my face. Here are some pictures.

Greg Johnson and Stephanie Moes were kind enough to serve as my godparents -- better role models, Mom and Dad couldn't ask for.

Afterwards Grandma and Grandpa had a party for me that was lots of fun. I got some very nice presents too, so thanks everyone for coming and thank you for the gifts.

My two month birthday

Hi everyone, I hope your new year is going well. Today is January 7 and that means it's my two month birthday. In some ways it seems like just yesterday that I arrived while on the other hand it seems like I have really been around a while. I know that Mom and Dad can't believe that it's already been two months. I also hear them say sometimes that their life is a little different now that I am around -- I think that's code for their life being a lot cooler now.

Anyway, a while ago I gave everyone an update on my day to day doings. I thought it might be useful to do that again. First of all, I am much bigger now than I used to be. I don't go to the doctor for a few more days, so I don't know my exact weight. But 13 pounds isn't at all out of the question. I have outgrown some of the things that used to be very big on me. From my lowest weight point, after I lost a few ounces when I left the hospital, I have nearly doubled my weight.

Second, I am much more expressive than I used to be. I smile and make faces at Mom and Dad all the time now. A week or so ago I gave Dad an enormous smile when he came home from work and I could tell it made him really happy.

What else? Mom and Dad don't really worry about taking me out places these days, so I go to Grandma and Grandpa's pretty regularly. I've also been to the grocery store, for long walks with Mom (in the stroller or in the snugglie) and sometimes Dad, shopping, and to a few different restaurants. For example, the other night I went to dinner with Geoff and Shellie and Jim and Melissa - I wanted to go to Habit's afterward, but Dad said no.

I like when I get to hang out with Mom. It's pretty hilarious how we talk. She always seems to understand and is always asking me to talk more. She takes me for long walks and we get to have some good conversations when we're eating. I also like my time with Dad. He sings me songs that I have a hunch are madeup. A lot of times I will act like a big boy and sit on the couch next to him doing boy things -- football, blogging, etc.

I am working on sleeping through the night, but I don't have it quite figured out yet. I get hungry, what can I tell you? It's getting longer though and I think that's helping things.

Anyway, I will leave you today with a few recent pictures. I've got some big things coming up in the next few weeks, including a doctor trip, my Baptism, and my first plane trip (to Florida). So check back.

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone. Just wanted to wish everyone a very happy new year. I have very much enjoyed meeting and hanging out with everyone in 2006 and I can't wait to do so much more in 2007.

Can't believe about that Bengals game. Oh well.

Here's a picture of me, and then me and Mom and Dad, from midnight. Happy new year!
